We want LearnEnglish Kids to be a fun, safe place, so we have house rules. We read all comments before we publish them. If any comments break these house rules, we will not publish them. Read the house rules carefully!
1. No personal details
Don't put any personal details in your comments that identify you. This means details like full real names (first names are OK), addresses, phone numbers, school or club names, or passwords. If we find these details in comments we will take them out. But you can put details like how old you are, how tall you are, or the name of where you live if it is a big town or city.
2. No email addresses, Instant Messenger IDs or personal websites
Don't put any information in your comments so that others can contact you outside the website. This means information like email addresses, Instant Messenger IDs or personal website addresses. If we find these details in comments we will take them out.
3. Keep your password safe
Don't give your password to other people, or put your password in a comment. If other people have your password, they can look at your profile, and they can send comments into the site in your name.
4. No rude, hurtful or silly comments
We are happy for you to write about other people's comments, and we would like to hear what you think, but please don't write rude or nasty comments, bad words, comments that can hurt other users, or silly comments. Just be polite! Also remember to respect other people’s opinions, even if you don’t agree! Everybody can say their opinion, as long as it doesn’t hurt other people.
5. Relevant comments only
We love to know your opinion on our songs, stories, games, and everything else on our site! So please make sure that your comment is about the topic of the page you are writing on. Please also make sure your comment is your own words and you don’t copy from another place!
6. Only use English
A lot of people will read comments you send to LearnEnglish Kids. Always use English - and then everyone can understand. Don't worry if your English is not perfect, or if there are mistakes, we will publish your comment. Making mistakes is part of learning!
7. Remember that young children use this site
Children aged 5, 6 or 7 also use this site. Please make sure that all comments you send to the site are OK for young children to read and look at.
8. No links to websites
LearnEnglish Kids is created for children. Please don't recommend or put links to other websites in your comments. Some websites are not always safe for children.
9. You must be 12 years old or under
LearnEnglish Kids is for children who are learning English. Members of the kids site must be aged 12 or under. Please tell your parent, carer or teacher before becoming a site member.
10. Use only one account
Please only use one account on LearnEnglish Kids. Also, please don't pretend to be anybody else. If you break this rule, we will close your account. Your account must use a real email address.
